The upper part of Nidelva is a dry ravine called Hyttfossen. In the beginning of the previous century, the river was dammed because of the development of a hydroelectric power plant and the 6-7 thousand year old pot-holes of Hyttfossen were revealed. Even today, these are one of the best kept secrets of Nidelva. Here, there are many opportunities for combining various activities. According to the time of year, we recommend climbing/bouldering, the pendulum jump or ice climbing.
